Creative
Energies for
Mental Wellness (CEMW)
The Creative Energies for Mental Wellness project is a collaborative initiative between Loud Art Society and the Perlin Foundation for Wellbeing.
The goal of the CEMW, a collaborative project between LAS and PFW, is to foster mental health literacy and wellbeing in Calgary through a synergistic blend of art, culture, and education. These regular “Corner of Creativity” sessions alternate between:
guiding individuals through art activities aimed at mental well-being, and
playing cognition/emotion activities and brain games, or “Mind Art Adventures”.
Creative
expression & creative
problem-solving
combined together for one
amazing
series of workshops.
We holistically engage arts and culture as powerful tools for mental health promotion, education, community building, and stigma reduction.
This benefits individuals and the community as a whole by improving mental health literacy, fostering a sense of belonging, and providing a platform for expression and dialogue.
